I am based in Brighton and London; however, I can take photographs anywhere! My work has been published in The Argus, BN1 Magazine, the Rialto, King Provider, and Soapbox; I have created promotional material for AFRAID, and local businesses. I have been snapping away for over ten years. In the early days, I assisted the music photographer, Fin Costello, whose portfolio includes The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and Duran Duran. We worked on a number of projects for magazines and album covers; predominantly for metal bands such as Cradle of Filth. Working in such pressurised environments has been an invaluable learning experience; this has been useful for wedding shoots, where anything can happen.
I have a diploma in photography, which has given me an appreciation of using film; working in the darkroom became a passion. I use professional digital equipment and love the concept of transferring the sensitivity of traditional photographic methods to digital photography.

“Dear Alia, we want to thank you for creating the most fabulous memories of our amazing wedding day. You spent the whole day and evening with and captured the feel and joy of the day. You listened to our request to have natural and staged photos, and we are also extremely happy that we have done group photos. Thank you again. John and Jill.”

“I asked Alia to take some photos for my massage business and was very pleased with the results. I like the way she works – she doesn’t intrude on what you’re doing, but works around you and knows the best angles and filters to use for the best possible results. She’s very accommodating and easy to work with. We’ve asked her to be our wedding photographer too so I’m looking forward to seeing the photos for that!”
Hannah Moss, 2016.
“Alia was my Wedding Photographer and we couldn’t be happier. The moments that were captured were natural and just stunning. She didn’t stop taking pictures all day and I barely noticed. She was so friendly and professional and put us both at ease. The photographs are fantastic! Highly recommended!”
